My 7 Rules for Letting Him Chase

Darling, right after I told my girlfriends I'd be dangerous at thirty, they leaned in and begged for the full list over martinis.

Here are my seven rules for letting him chase.

  • Never explain your schedule. Let him wonder where you slipped off to after dinner.
  • Wait for the third ring. Answer sooner and the game ends too fast.
  • Cancel plans last minute. He'll rearrange his whole week just to see you.
  • Smile at the handsome waiter. He noticed. The spark lit up our whole evening.
  • Whisper one spicy memory. Then change the subject fast. His eyes never left me.
  • End the night with a kiss. Just on the cheek. Leave him standing there hungry.
  • Never text him first. My ex still checks his silent phone every single night.

Darling, these rules at thirty feel like slow, delicious trouble.
