Darling, after I hit send on that photo with my hair down and red lipstick, I grabbed a glass of wine and told my best girlfriend the five rules I swear by before blocking any ex.
- Choose your best angle. Soft light on my shoulders. This satin blouse open just enough. One snap so he recalls every curve he walked away from.
- No words attached. Zero caption. No emoji. The picture alone says what my mouth never will again.
- Time it perfectly. Send at eleven sharp. When his younger replacement has gone to bed and he is wide awake.
- Ignore every reply. If he texts sorry or misses you, let those words hang there forever. Never type back.
- Toast with the girls. Call my girlfriends over. We open the best bottle and laugh until the neighbors complain.
He still checks his phone, darling.
